I have had the same problem with the Aspire One I tried all the drivers from legitimate sources (not driver rip offs) finally I installed the original XP Driver for the Aspire One the only problems I have noticed is when power saving turns on it sometimes kills the driver. I have disabled the power saving features while plugged in but either I am missing something, or Windows 7 thinks it knows better than I do.
