(first i downloaded the preload version but as there weren’t any crack for it and right after the SKIDROW released the FLT version, i delete the preload and redownloaded the game.FLT.) Hey, do you experience any crashes? “Prototype2.exe has stopped working” I downloaded FLT version and Update+Crack I chose no when it ask if i wanted to apply auto crack and i copy and paste the crack myself using the “Update+Crack” The game seems to crash randomly (10-15min playing) The graphic also feel sluggish and a little blurry even in max settings. Then i downloaded Skidrow crack i deleted the old prototype2 and installed using the same “FLT version” game, chose no to auto crack and applied Skidrow crack.

The game ran smooth at first and the graphic is better, there are event missions now but it still crashes randomly. Sorry if this is a stupid or silly question, but what is the difference between this release and Fairlight/FLT’s? Just downloaded Fairlight’s release, and I wanna know if it’s worthy of downloading Skidrow’s, if it is stabler than Fairlight’s or something. Been having some issues with the game. The game gets lag-ier and lag-ier the longer I play and then later on it crashes. Sometimes, 3D models won’t load like Heller’s Claw arms when he shape-shifts to “equip” them, or a Brawler that I release from a cage.

My friend whose PC had similar specs (AMD/ATI 5000 series graphics with 1 GB VRAM) reported that his (legit/bought) copy of the game runs just fine and runs smoothly with almost all settings set to high. I’ll try re-installing the game (with Skidrow’s crack this time) and DirectX, and see if it does the trick. Yea I’m having the same problem of starting the game up and crashing near immediately. I followed the instructions exactly as described.

I even updated my graphics drivers, updated the direct x (included in the game), the setup was not interrupted by anything and I really don’t know what else to do. I’ve gotten plenty of other skidrow games and their installation is pretty much the same as this one and never have any problems until now. So I really don’t know what else to do:(. Anyone got any ideas? I to have exact same problem and i also d/l all the versions of the game and ibstalled all of them with their respective cracks and still nothing. I have been asking for help at all the different sites but no one has taken the time to try to resolve this nor has anyone even bothered to reply to help requests. Sitting on near 40gb of this game and its no good to me.

Hope someone takes the time to respond and give help running on win7 x32 (new install) all drivers updated to newest.quad core.8gb ram.newest directXetc.allnewest and fresh.also tried all with and without steam running and steam online and off-line.i can’t think of anything else to try never had issues like i have for this game have used FLT / Skidrow / Blackbox 1 & 2 / preload/ and all the cracksnone work. Thank you for delivering this game for us.

But after installing this game, I had some troubles: after playing about 25-30 minutes, game has been crashed, with messenger on dislay: prototype 2.exe has stop working. I try removing and re-installing or updating driver for VGA but it seem not work!:(. I also try using the version of FLT but it’s same, too!!! So, i hope u can test again and release the excellent another cr@ck or updates for this game. This is good game i have ever been played before:D.

Once again, thanks for reading and your help. Two things to say. 1 those of you that are getting crashing in the game. This issue is due to a memory leak with in the game and because the group that made the game is no longer around a patch for this issue most likely will not happen. The second thing to say is for some reason unsure why but when trying to download part 7 off putlocker or sockshare site It gos really really slow at downloading and most likely fails. Now today it seems that it may download fully but if possible can you guy’s reupload part 7 to rapidshare or something?

Maybe somebody already posted something like this, but since there are so many threads about bugs and crashes etc. I wanted to share my experience. Every time I started the game it crashed (prototype2.exe has stopped working). Since people were stating that this is caused by plugged-in usb controllers I unplugged the only USB device (my mouse) connected to my pc, - luckily I do have an old-school keyboard - started the game and 'tada' it worked, plugging in my mouse again so that I can play the game. I seems like this game has problems with many / almost every USB devices at startup.

I have to unplug my mouse every time I start the game, but it works. Actually yesterday was checking if Steam or Activision patch this Appcrash fail, but no luck for those of us who spent our money for potentially dead product. But during my attempt to fix it I've found out something that did not found over the internet about this bug. The cause of application crash seemed steam dll - steamapi.dll. I've managed to find 'modified' version of this library from 'demonstration purpose only version of Prototype 2' (btw which one's working flawlessly which is more than odd) and overwrite it and the game start working!

So It most likely that steam developers don't spend much time testing their own library before sending all appcrash problems/tickets to Activision game tech-support. So I believe that buggy steamapi.dll and/or steam overlay cause prototype2.exe to crash. I've opened proper ticket but for real have almost no hope that it would be escalated to proper tech-support-specialist / division.
